Secondary School Senior Girls Basketball Team

January 2008 -The Hill Park Secondary School Senior Girls Basketball Team  visited Sun Village Resort
& Spa Cofresi, Dominican Republic, for sun, fun and as well as taking some time aside to learn first
hand about the humanitarian efforts of  the Elliott Foundation in the Puerto Plata area.

Elliott Foundation set up schedules for two days of  games, swimming and fun at Sun Village Cofresi by
hosting the local team Politecnico  Gregorio Urbano Gilbert from Puerto Plata who squared off with Hill
Park Secondary.   Girls from both teams played basketball & volleyball and shared tips, skills and
friendship.  

The Canadian high-school girls donated sports equipment and school supplies for the Elliott
Foundation projects and also visited the hospital project which will reconstruct the children’s ward at the
public hospital.

A fantastic time with a humanitarian touch!
