Caring & Giving
As the Elliott Foundation has developed over the years, we have been extremely fortunate to receive the
support of so many people who realize our mission to help as well as our vision to do more. David and
Elizabeth Currie are two of these people.
Managing partner with Claremont Capital Group David, along with his wife Liz are frequent guests at
Sun Village Resort & Spa Cofresi. During these visits, they have become interested in our efforts to give
back to the local community and to help children in need. Throughout the years David & Liz have
supported the Elliott Foundation’s fundraising initiatives including rental of an Aqua Lounge Box,
donating yearly to our education, health and welfare projects and partnering.
In November we launched our Hospital Children’s Wing campaign which will greatly assist the quality
and availability of health care for all children in the Puerto Plata area. We are very happy that Liz and
David is our first Diamond Level sponsor for this project. In appreciation, their names will be
predominantly displayed on the “Wall of Change” at the Ricardo Linares Hospital.
In a letter enclosing their donation for the Children’s Ward Project, Feb. 18, 2008, they wrote…”Liz and I
are pleased to re-affirm our commitment of support for this critical undertaking and are pleased to
enclose our check for US$15,000. We choose to make payment in full rather than via installments as we
recognize the urgency involved. Thanks to you and all those associated with the Elliott Foundation
forgiving us an opportunity to make a difference!
