Boys and girls compete for computer
True to our feelings toward children, the Foundation instituted an award to the best student in 2007-
2008 school year.
We were inspired by one of our benefactors (she wishes to remain anonymous) who donated a laptop
computer. The competition was announced to the Elliott Group family of employees (about 900
individuals) and it was extremely well received.
At school year-end, June/08, students marks were submitted by their parents and to everybody’s delight
we were able to reward a bright 8 year old boy with 97.5 over 100 average for the year. His name is
Ronald Garcia Lopez
We can assure you, Ronald is the happiest boy in town these days. During the ceremony he told us
“this is my lifetime dream”. We hope this computer can be an effective instrument to change Ronald’s
life. As the Foundation’s theme goes, to give him a chance for change.
