July 2008. The Elliott Foundation is pleased to announce that a new phase has been completed in
re-modeling the Children’s Ward at the Dr. Ricardo Limardo Hospital in Puerto Plata.
In a Ceremony today, a cheque for $ 8,000 dollars was delivered to the “Voluntariado Jesus con los
Niņos”, the organization in charge of implementing the project that will transform the pediatric wing in a
model facility to treat children, newborn babies and their mothers.
With this contribution, the bathrooms in the premises have been restored to offer standards of sanitation
and comfort that must be met in a modern hospital.
