An Elliot Foundation volunteer in his sixties walks on the wild side of life doing his mission work. As you know from having read my story about Elmond Jean, my first ride ever on a motorbike was with Elmond in 2002.
Since then I have been on many motoconchos including three on one. I also was in a guagua van (bus transportation
for the poor). Back home it could legally hold eight. On
one particular ride there were over 20 in it with four hanging through the sliding door. If Dan and Sure Graham get their way, I will be on a poster on a motorbike with Elmond Jean and his sons. I’ll be wearing Fred Elliott’s James Dean style leather jacket. Life at any age can be very interesting and rewarding when you are open to adventure and the ways of the humanitarian spirit.
Joe, I feel blessed in having opportunities to work with you to give humanitarian support to the people of the Dominican Republic through the Elliott Foundation. They are a friendly and optimistic people who welcome and appreciate support. Thank you for accepting my invitation to be an Elliott Foundation volunteer and giving a helping hand in a way that works for you.
May the Elliott Foundation spirit be with you. Eugene Leenders Honorary Chairperson of the Elliott Foundation
